the Artist

My artistry began when I started making notes and simple sketches about birds during observation, outlining their shapes, colors, and behavior. Pretty soon my interest led me into painting.

Expression

Poetic painting
I have a profound passion to evoke Nature, especially in places where birds land, breed, and otherwise leave an impression. In my painting, I try to arouse associations to these places in a way that can be interpreted as real or fictitious, with the light often playing a central role in the experience. Darkness and brightness, both in color and feeling, have a force that fascinates me. Somewhere, in the border between dark and light, pictures arise, a kind of poetic painting

Gotland

An island in the middle of the Baltic Sea, where nature, light, culture, and history create an atmosphere perfectly designed for creativity. It’s been nearly 20 years since I first planted my feet here and I found a landscape full of open views and shallow shores.
